This will be my last post on cosmic converations. A new year is upon us,[not to mention a new president] and I want to try something different. I’m going to be taking yoga classes soon[I want a firmer butt!], studying anthropology, and really delving into astrological/metaphysical subjects..this will give me alot to talk about on my new blog… The new blog will be called Earth Ascending, and it’s currently not even up yet, so don’t go lookin’ for it I just feel like I need to get more centered, and I want a blog that reflects this. Thank you so much for stopping by!
There are no words to express what I feel right now! I have been floating around for the past few days. Jut take some time to bask in this beautiful photo. I’m really speechless! I’ll be back in a few days!
I promised myself I would try my best to keep this Blog celeb-free, but when I saw this picture I just had to say something. There has been alot of buzz around the blog world. chatrooms, etc…about little Zahara Jolie-Pitts hair. I just can’t take it anymore! As a Black Mother of a lil black girl, this is just too much to bear! I mean, there is no EXCUSE!
This is not about curly hair Versus Kinky hair, or any slave-mentality Bullshit like that, it’s about the fact that the entire Jolie-pitt family has just let themselves go! Jeez! I understand that Angelina is a white-chick, and probably knows nothing about black hair care, but with all the money she and Brad pull in combined, you mean to tell me that you can’y hire Zahara her own personal hair braider/stylist? Hell, I work in harlem, and you can’t walk down the street without some African-sista asking: Hair braided! Hair braided? good price for you sista”! In this photograph, Angie was in manhattan just a few days ago to get ready for the premiere of her movie the Changeling. Home girl could have asked her driver to take her and the kids to little senegal on 125th, and Malcolm X Blvd. and hooked Lil Zee’s hair up! After that she could have treated Maddox to a smoothie at the Uptown Juice Bar! Harlem stand Up!!
His holiness as always speaks words of compassion, and insight. There are so many of us in the world who are lost and miserable. Inner peace is most certainly the answer.
Brother Mumia discusses the Prison industrial Complex. During some of my most difficult moments in the shelter system, his words were truly inspiring. Free mumia!
